What is Sculptra®?

Before Treatment
We recommend avoiding things like essential fatty acids, blood thinners, NSAIDs, supplements like gingko biloba, garlic, green tea, cod liver oil, niacin, flax, vitamin A, and vitamin E prior to your Sculptra® appointment. You should also avoid smoking and alcohol, but we’ll cover all this with you prior to your appointment so that you can avoid bruising and focus on reaping the best possible results from Sculptra®.
During Treatment
Once you’re comfortable, we’ll clean the desired treatment areas, apply a topical numbing agent, and mark the necessary areas. We’ll then begin your procedure.
After Treatment
We recommend you avoid using makeup and doing strenuous activities for one day after your treatment. You can treat any potential swelling or bruising with an ice pack, and you should massage the treated areas for five minutes, five times a day for the first five days following your treatment. Because Sculptra® is a longer-term course of treatment, you may not notice results until you are done with your appointments, something our team will discuss with you in consultation.
