Before Treatment
Prior to treatment, we recommend avoiding the sun, alcohol, and skin-sensitizing agents like retinol and other vitamin A derivatives, vitamin C, chemical exfoliants, and more. We’ll cover what you need to do to prepare for your treatment in consultation to ensure you get the best results
During Treatment
During treatment, we’ll first cleanse the skin and apply treatment gel. Then, we’ll begin your session by applying the device to the treatment location. Lumecca IPL is designed to be as painless as possible, and your session shouldn’t take longer than 45 minutes depending on what we’re treating.
After Treatment
Afterward, you may be slightly red, which is normal. We recommend always using SPF and other sun protection and being gentle with your skin immediately following your treatment. We also recommend that you avoid makeup for 24 hours after your appointment. We’ll provide you with complete aftercare advice during your consultation so that you’re ready for your next treatment session!
